Kelly is just one of the most amazing, down to earth people I’ve ever met. She made me be hopeful because she won American Idol 10 years ago. I see her career and I want that. It’s a good inspiration. I would love to work with Kelly Clarkson. She’s just one of the most talented singers I’ve ever heard. In rehearsal at 8 in the morning, she was hitting those notes like no problem. I would love to work with her because I enjoy her and I feel like I could learn a lot from her.

The music scene is all smiles since its adorable Kelly Clarkson announced her newest accessory this week: an engagement ring! But it turns out the commitment came with a little arm-twisting of her husband-to-be, Brandon Blackstock.
Blake Shelton, who is managed by Mr. Blackstock, tells Hollyscoop exclusively that he urged Brandon to pop the question to Kelly.
“I told Brandon, man you need to grow up and you figure out that you need to marry this girl,” says Shelton.
Not only that, but Shelton also threw in a sweet incentive for the couple: Playing at the wedding!
“I am going on the record saying, I will do the music at the wedding or whatever you want to do, I’ll be that guy,” he says, “I will play for four hours if I have to, cause you need to get you head out of your a** and ask that girl to marry you.”
Kelly announced their engagement on Twitter, writing: “I wanted y’all to know!! Happiest night of my life last night! I am so lucky and am with the greatest man ever.”
Along with being Blake’s manager, Brandon is the son of Narvel Blackstock, who reps Kelly. Also, Narvel is married to Reba McEntire, which will eventually make Kelly the country queen’s daughter-in-law—not a bad deal!
Though Kelly and Brandon have been in each other’s life for a while now, they have only been officially dating for a year now.
Like a true father figure, Shelton offers his blessings to the couple and their future together.
“I’m so glad he did,” says Shelton. “He is one hardheaded dude and she is the best thing to happen to him.”

The woman in the top photo is Carlee Soto, waiting to hear news about her sister, a teacher at Sandy Hook Elementary.
The woman in the second photo is Victoria Soto, Carlees sister. Soto was apparently pushing the children into a closet when she was confronted by Lanza. She put herself between the gunman and the children and that’s when she was tragically shot and killed. When she became aware there was a gunman in the school, she hid her first-graders in closets and cabinets, then told the shooter they were in the gym. He turned the gun on Soto, killing her, but none of her students were harmed.
You are a hero Victoria, and no one will ever forget the amazing thing you did for your students. Only the good die young, may you rest in peace. Such a beautiful soul.
